kicking off a big year for apple pips with something tasty and different from komon & appleblim! having worked together on remixes for respected labels like ninja tune & aus, appleblim & komonazmuk (now going under the name komon for his house/bass productions) started jamming in the studio on some original material. messing with boundaries and having fun was the order of the day, and what we have here are two of the first results… ’gas jam’ is a bassline-led roller with a nod to both classic uk garage & the futuristic house & techno vibes of uk bass music. getting dropped on rinse fm on both the marcus nasty & hypercolour shows, & with eats everything & carl craig supporting it already you can hear why it appeals to open minded and diverse djs.. ’silencio’ shimmers and shines on a glooped-out balearic/kosmiche beat, an 80s soul soundsystem bassline funks on through and leads you into a woozy blissed out climax…slo-mo house/bass balearic bizniss… with more collabs with appleblim to follow this year, his new productions getting props from all angles, & releases lined up on hypercolour, komon’s year is shaping up nicely!
4 fantastic trax done by one of the best deep house producer right now : montel. being an avid record collector and dance music enthusiast for nearly 20 years, montel has slowly but surely cultivated his craft. feeling all nostalgic after his 20 year love affair with house music, he felt it was time to find a creative outlet for his sounds. not concerned with topping charts, being in the playlists of top djs or winning social networking popularity contests, montel is a man of simplicity. his only objective is to give back the good vibrations, making music for djs and dancers. music for sweaty basements, house partys and day time raves. nothing big, nothing clever.. just vibes

first in is a beat heavy analogue chug rework of the rare and weird italo 7 inch *i am your master* by the mysterious italo connoisseur savino dj and dj peet need based in holland. the arpeggiating bass line digs a circular trench that gets deeper as the track marches on until you end up stuck on an island with a strange creepy midget man. music that blurs the line between disco dreams and nightmares starion is back for more on ep2. how will he make a heavier track than ep1s *another dimension*? by making *darkstar*. analogue manctalo chug at its finest. big bass line, big synth chords, big vocoder action. you couldnt get more dark disco electronic if you went clubbing with daleks and the cybermen were djing.
rekids have teamed up with detroits fit distribution and enlisted the services of motor city locals marcellus pittman and urban tribe to put the 313 sound on *working* and *taxi talk*. on the former, marcellus pittman lays down his trademark blend of mechanical yet jerky old-skool drum machine rhythms and disorientingly dissonant, tripped-out synth chords – creating a somewhat eerie atmosphere that evokes images of detroits manufacturing plants of yesteryear. on the flipside, urban tribe transform *taxi talk* into a big room monster, using rumbling synth bass, electronic bleeps and laser gun snares to transport us back in time to a dark and hazy 90s warehouse rave.
for maximum vinyl sound quality this a 45rpm with a -12db cut! this release ist strictly limited to only 300 pieces worldwide (consecutive numbering on the backside.

azimuth ep showcases this producers fresh take on electronic music across a range of tempos. dmarc cantu remixes the eps most dancefloor-friendly track, azimuth, lending it a deeper and more brooding edge. alis is the new project from italo-bulgarian londoner, sabina plamenova (formerly subeena). this new pseudonym reflects a more personal and vocal-lead endeavour, in her own words, not just a music about music approach but also an outlet for her own personality. a big name for 2013 and beyond.

young belgian producer locked groove (aka tim van de meutter) cements an increasingly central role in the hotflush family fold with the release of the two part heritage ep. since his debut on the label, tim has propagated what he himself has termed 100% house and techno, combining elements of the big room, the deep and moody and straight up four-to-the-floor both into the space of a single track, and across the length of an ep. taking a marked step on from last years rooted and keep it simple eps, heritage pursues a joining of musical dots between and beyond classic house and techno, from the kerri chandler-esque house of *wear it well* through the epic landscaping of *lost* to *dream within a dream* blade runner beach party. in this collection, the young producer delivers two sets of three outstanding, genre-straddling tracks that further help to bolster hotflushs legacy as one of the most forward-thinking labels operating in 2013.
last year kyodai dropped breaking, which to date is the biggest selling release on local talk. now the brothers are back with in our opinion a future house anthem. the scene is a classic piano house cut that’s impossible to resist and together with one the coolest vocal samples we’ve ever heard we think this has the potential to go really big. when the breakdown drops we’re pretty sure everybody in the club will chant. but as if this was not enough we also got another big tune on the b-side. moving is the continuation of “breaking” and goes along the same lines with its crossover jazz styled house. once again kyodai delivers a supa solid house production with large jazz breakdowns and old school vocals that’s right up their with ”breaking”. this is also why we called it…breaking pt.2. kyodai is currently working on their debut album for local talk which is due later this year. they’re also travelling around the world with their amazing live dj set that we highly recommend. trust us when we say that these two brothers really now how to turn up the heat in a club…serious biz!
saveds next release is a single from label debutants the italoboyz who present *hi fi*. built on punchy kicks and a pulsating bass line, the track is peppered with chopper effects, stand out vocals and rising synths that combine to cause maximum dance floor destruction. federico molinari provides an intelligent remix which instantly pulls the listener in with its hurdling bass line and fx. accelerated congas layer the mix and the vocals are processed through big ambient delays to great effect.

is he good - or is he wicked? - with this quote from alice in wonderland, clemens started his highly acclaimed fÖn records series in 1996. 2013 neufeld is back and taking raw acid techno to the next level. wicked is a bass heavy straight banger for the big floors, driven by haunting distorted off-beat percussion and naughty 303 bassline action.us-techno legend angel alanis, true master of disaster since his early works on woody mcbrides offshots, totally destroys it with a super ruff earthquake bass monster. nobody less then gez varely aka g-man, legendary half of the techno pioneers lfo from leeds, uk, provides another remix in his very own flavor - deep, dubby and hypnotic - a guaranteed floor filler. recorded in vienna(a), indianapolis(usa) and leeds (uk.

doppel 12 inch >vinyl im klappcover, inklusive mp3 downloadcode.
the two brothers of gebrÜder teichmann have been regular guests at the early killekill events. that is because they have a very similar approach to electronic music as we do. first of all they are deeply in love with the music itself and not the fame, the money or whatever one might expect to get when making music, and second they have a wide musical horizon and interesting perspectives on it, because they are active on several levels, as djs, musicians, promoters etc. first of all though they got class and taste, and so we are happy to present their cooperation with one of our personla heroes and one of the very big names in early house music: johnny dangerous aka foremost poets.
welcome to the next chapter of in ear records.dacido & hirte - wobble ep brings you 4 minimal-techno party tracksin different styles: wobble with a wobbling electro-bassline, splizz with funky offsamples, bazooka for the big band feeling and happy feet with 1940ies vocals

the third instalment of remixes features tokyo undergrounds finest, cos/mes, with rework of the experimental proto-electro track big dome that nods its head to the dancefloor whilst maintaining the balance of the original. the b side sees a special collaboration between la heavyweights lovefingers and eddie ruscha. under the alias secret fingers, they deliver a tropical, blissed-out version of manzaneras classic *islands*.
keeping the love alive, the fifth release on eddie cs cult red motorbike imprint is another big sound on a small format.

sheffield based john shima joins the diametric. family. after a series of digital releases in the last years it is a tremendous pleasure to release the very first vinyl 12 inch of john on diametric. his music could be easily described as the logical progression of the legacy of famous uk acts such as b12, stasis or nuron, but that would be only half the story really. john mixes very emotional and deep techno with intrinsic and delicate rhythmic structures, in parts even harsh sounding bitcrushed percussions, and idm influences together to his very own special blend. now we can already hear the stupid comments from the haters saying that his music doesnt sound new and like the next big hype but the simple answer is: even if so, who gives a f#ck? it is great electronic music and diametric. certainly hopes you enjoy this record and are blown away like us.300 handnumbered limited vinyl copies only. no digital distribution.
big tracks alert! - the third release from the vinyl only bokhari label with two new artists appearing on a hand screen printed ltd edition 10″,,,,,,,. igor jadranin brings you a heavy dose of percussive, groove-laden house music, packed with tension, swirling sirens, and melodic synth stabs. the ‘for just one thing’ vocal refrain burrows it’s way into your head, before morphing into an inspired neo-soul breakdown. on the flip glitchell moore’s skadarlija is an infectious slice of warm, intergalactic deep house. a lost, echo-laden vocal glides in and out of the track, whilst hypnotic keys and a lingering bassline give proceedings a lush, trippy feel. not a million miles from the nostalgia tinged future boogie of a certain space dimension controller, perfect music for the twilight hours.
we are super stoked to have this killer ep out on local talk as we have been big fans of both c.r.s.t. and chesus productions for good while now. as these guys are down with both house music and the uk garage scene we get served an ep that combines the best of both styles. the result is a jacked up house release that would work equally well at the classic new jersey zanzibar club or in your dirty london basement club. the first three tracks (monster munch, newark and life) takes us on a deep and jackin house trip with a bouncy garage twist. but to stir things up a lil extra the last track (special) goes all disco with some soulful philly samples ... perfect for the southport weekender crews!
pure records comes up with there next (double-) strike on vinyl: a big portion of pure sun, love & positive emotions - shaped into 4 masterpieces. an e.p. definitely supposed to banish winter depressions and evil
red-hot reissue of 1981 epic party jam *equality* by five points. the only record ever released on rissa chrissa records off-shoot label applegold, this hugely sought after disco boogie rap from nyc is truly phenomenal! bouncing straight in with infectious hand-claps, rough and ready beats, deep mellow chords and a kinky guitar, this track delivers a conscious female rap with a side order of big apple groove! sounding like a house party you just wanna be at, this mega-rare 12 inch is a firm favourite of dmitri from paris amongst many other discerning djs. grab one while you can!
what if time does not matter? welcome to the world of jonas saalbach, where nothing is solid but the rhythm of the base. we are drifting between synthwaves and nested melancholic melodies, between hazy vibes and spare used dark vocals and we call it >nika yumi<. this one is a brilliant number from a producer-youngstar, which strandet in berlin with a big smile and many dreams in the backage. so here we go with his first release on einmusika recordings. >next< - the second track on the ep, is an exotic odyssey in times of vocal- and deephouse, because this number is technoid, minimal and unimagined. >cave< can flip a good party into a great one in the space of six glorious minutes. the bendy baseline is catching everybody and the track is full of cosmic synths. and after this trip you surely need a bottle of water and a melody which picks up this feeling underlined with dreamy synth motifs and a kind of woozy bleeps. okay. so where we are? what time it is? whatever you can repeat everything.
